The Ballinger Elementary Gifted and Talented program is in the process of preparing for the next school year. In the Ballinger ISD, gifted students are those identified as having superior intellectual abilities, or potential for outstanding academic achievement. If you feel your child possesses these qualities, and you want to nominate him/her for the GT program, you may notify your child's homeroom teacher or the GT Coordinator, Christy Kvapil, at 325-365-3527 x3050 or email Nominations must be requested on or before January 31, 2018.

Junior High Basketball time changes for January 15th games
Junior High basketball games for GIRLS and BOYS have been moved up due to possible weather. They will now be played at 4:30 and 5:30. Boys will be played at Big Lake and girls will be played in Ballinger.

School Holiday and Stock Show Weekend
Friday, January 12th will be a school holiday. This wil allow students and BISD emplyees the opportunity to participate in the Runnels County Livestock Show. The public is encouraged to come to the Ballinger Community Center on Friday and Saturday and support these young FFA and 4H members. See the attachment for a show schedule.

BISD students are collecting box tops. New items have been added at popular stores and the box tops are easily visible. Please consider helping a great cause!

Parent Survey
Ballinger ISD is seeking parent input on the 2018-19 School Calendar as well as a possible before/after school program. You are asked to complete 2 surveys for the campus that your child is on. If you have children on multiple campuses please pick only one campus that you will have a child on next year for the surveys. (The surveys are all the same.)
